Community Communications

....Find out what's going on and how to have your say

The following strands of communication let people keep in-touch with what is happening in and around Chapmanslade.

The aim is to have a better connected less stratified community.

Chapmanslade Village Website

The village website is the way that many who use the internet find out what’s going on in Chapmanslade. In particular, you’ll find EVENTS, NEWS ITEMS and VILLAGE CALENDARS as well as general information about our parish.

Also, you can use the website CONTACT US tab if you need some village information or would like some help.

Chapmanslade Facebook Group

This PRIVATE FACEBOOK GROUP is used by a very substantial number of our community to communicate in real time – not only about upcoming events, but also about what’s going on, items for sale or to give away / recycle, and to chat about things of interest.

To join, sign-in to (or create) your Facebook account (https://www.facebook.com) and search for Chapmanslade Village Community Group. Because it is a Private Group, you’ll need to request to join.

The Bridge monthly magazine

This widely read ‘hard copy’ magazine for the villages of Chapmanslade and Corsley is hand delivered to every household by a team of volunteers. Copies can also be found in the Three Horseshoes pub with archive copies online at http://corsleyandthebridge.co.uk.

Chapmanslade Events Emails

Emails about events taking place in Chapmanslade are sent to folks who have asked to join the ‘Chapmanslade Events‘ email list. Emails are coordinated with the Chapmanslade website and Facebook group so as to ensure maximum coverage throughout the community.

Should you wish to join the ‘Chapmanslade Events‘ email group, send an email to terencerose@btinternet.com.

You can UNSUBSCRIBE from these emails at any time.

Community Coffee Mornings / Village Events

Get a warm welcome when you come along to the Community Coffee Mornings which are held at The Three Horseshoes from 10 until noon on the third Thursday of each month.

It a great way to meet lots of friends, both old and new, and find out what’s going on in the village over a cup of Ben’s freshly brewed coffee.

If you’re new to the village, this is the place to come to be warmly welcomed and to say hello.

Another great way to communicate with your fellow villagers is to come along to one of the many events that go on throughout the year.

Parish Council Meetings

One way to find out what is happening in Chapmanslade – especially in relation to planning issues and the Parish Plan – is to come along to Parish Council meetings. Everyone is made very welcome and there’s always an oportunity to have your say.
